Birth

William Linder [Jr] was born July 17, 1873 in Woolwich Twp. He was the fifth of six children to William Linder and Charlotte Randall.

Death

William died on March 14, 1952:
William Linder, Wawota, dies in
79th year, at his home

    The funeral of William Linder, who passed away at his home in Wawota, on March 14th, in his 79th year, took place on March 18. The service was held in the United Church, Rev. R. McMurtry officiating. Mrs. C. G. Clements was organist.
    Mr. Linder was buried in the new Community Cemetery. The pall bearers were W. Marshall, R. A. McPherson, R. New, R. Drennan, A. Hutchinson and H. Webb.
    Mr. Linder was born at Elmira, Ontario, and married Emily Elizabeth Walker. They came to Wawota from Preston, Ont., 41 years ago and have resided here ever since. He leaves to mourn him his widow and six children, Pearl (Mrs. Clarence Myers), Gretta (Mrs. J. E. McCabe, of Carlyle), and Goldena (Mrs. D. Hunter); and George, Clarence and Lawrence, all of Wawota. His youngest son, John Wilfred, of the Regina Rifles, was killed in action in France. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Lavina Krueger, of Kitchener, Ont., 22 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
    The immediate family were all present at their father's funeral and out-of-town relatives and friends attending were: Mrs. K. McRae, Orin McRae and Mrs. Lillian Burgman, of Winnipeg; Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McCabe and family, of Carlyle; Sam Barish and Mr. and Mrs. H. Cleyman, of Wapella.
    The citizens of Wawota and district extend their deep sympathy to Mrs. Linder and the family at this sad time.
